It’s hard not to get caught up in Ray Leyden’s enthusiasm for business and for life in general. An Irish immigrant, Ray admits that he is constantly striving to be the best version of himself.
As the founder of Fenian Capital Strategies, Raymond had a vision to create a company focused on the client. “Too many times the client comes second, with us the client always comes first, it’s our responsibility and duty to ensure this happens.” Raymond knows a lot about duty having spent almost eight years in the US Army infantry and getting deployed to Iraq twice.
“I love this country and the opportunities it has given me”. After college, financial services seemed like the perfect environment for someone with his boundless energy and talent. He started out working for New York LIfe as an advisor, and quickly became one of the top advisors in his office winning numerous awards.
While leadership comes naturally to him, Raymond recognizes that the essence of true leadership is service. This belief in large part explains the “client first”culture that is promoted at Fenian. “As fiduciaries for the client, we have an obligation to create the most effective and efficient use of the client’s wealth”.
Raymond has been widely recognized by the financial services industry for his leadership and performance. He is dedicated to giving back, while in college he set up VALOR, an organization dedicated to helping veterans acclimate to civilian life. In 2019, Raymond was named as Aide to theGrand Marshall in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City.
A graduate of Manhattan College, Raymond holds a BS in Economics. Raymond, his wife Kate, and family resides in Westchester NY.

Client Relationship Manager
Erik Modansky is a Financial Services Representative with Fenian Capital Strategies. Erik’s broad knowledge of insurance products gives his clients the confidence they need when working with someone in financial services.
Erik focuses his time with Fenian by personally servicing the team’s client relationships. This allows him a unique opportunity to build a deeper understanding of each client as they go through the application and servicing process together.
Erik’s transition to financial services came after nearly a decade of experience in client servicing. With a focus on small business, Erik was able to get a thorough understanding of each individuals’ concerns and needs. This understanding led Erik to seek a deeper and even more personalized relationship with clients. Working in small business, he found that while he knew how to grow profits, he didn’t feel the same satisfaction as he did when working one on one with the clients themselves. This feeling led Erik to seek a new path.
Erik joined the Firm in 2018. He earned a BS in Marketing and Management from Indiana University in 2012. He is a lifelong member of the Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity.
Erik lives in New York, NY and enjoys staying active, playing sports, finding the best new foods, and spending time with his friends and most of all his family.
