It’s hard not to get caught up in Ray Leyden’s enthusiasm for business and for life in general. An Irish immigrant, Ray admits that he is constantly striving to be the best version of himself.
As the founder of Fenian Capital Strategies, Raymond had a vision to create a company focused on the client. “Too many times the client comes second, with us the client always comes first, it’s our responsibility and duty to ensure this happens.” Raymond knows a lot about duty having spent almost eight years in the US Army infantry and getting deployed to Iraq twice.
“I love this country and the opportunities it has given me.” After college, financial services seemed like the perfect environment for someone with his boundless energy and talent. He started out working for New York Life as an advisor, and quickly became one of the top advisors in his office, winning numerous awards.
While leadership comes naturally to him, Raymond recognizes that the essence of true leadership is service. This belief in large part explains the “client first” culture that is promoted at Fenian. “As financial advisors, we have an obligation to create the most effective and efficient use of the client’s wealth.”
Raymond has been widely recognized by the financial services industry for his leadership and performance. He is dedicated to giving back. While in college, he set up VALOR, an organization dedicated to helping veterans acclimate to civilian life. In 2019, Raymond was named as Aide to the Grand Marshall in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City.
A graduate of Manhattan College, Raymond holds a BS in Economics. Raymond, his wife Kate, and family reside in Westchester NY.
